Created by Henri d’Origny in 1991, Cape Cod began with an unexpected reinterpretation of the Chaîne d’Ancre link, transforming the House’s nautical-inspired jewellery motif into a square watch face framed by a rectangular case.

In 1998, Martin Margiela introduced the distinctive double-tour leather strap, wrapping twice around the wrist and reinforcing the collection’s unconventional character. With its geometric case, expressive straps and effortless balance between watchmaking and jewellery, Cape Cod remains one of Hermès’ most recognisable designs.
